MY STORY

I write sweet historical romance with swoony heroes. Sometimes a pig or two. My goal with every story is to carry readers into a new world and leave them with a solid book hangover. You know what I'm talking about.

I was surprised to win the Gwendolyn Brooks Poet Laureate award when a crafty creative writing instructor secretly submitted my work. Tragically, this required me to read my poem to... ahem... strangers.

I live in Birmingham, Alabama with my own swoony hero. When I'm not reading or writing, I'm a mean spreadsheetist (spreadsheetster?). I enjoy spending time with family, traveling and watching period dramas. And, if we're being honest, space documentaries. Weird, right?
